New Clock

Plastic "Melted" Quartz Desk Clock

Check out today's new find! 15 minutes scouring the art section of Hobby Lobby, and I found this amazing clock. Small enough not to be gaughty, avant garde enough to get noticed. This $6 piece just earned a spot on a floating shelf in my bedroom!

Rain Princess by Leonid Afremov

RAIN PRINCESS - ORIGINAL OIL Painting on Canvas - by Leonid AFREMOV
I feel like this picture really represents me as a person right now, and it's breathtaking in how the artist uses color so boldly without looking like a clown just barfed skittles on a canvas.

New to Blogging

So...I don't exactly expect to get a million hits, but maybe the overly stereotyped world of blogging internet junkies and melodramatic teens could brush up my daily writing if I actually want to make a name for myself. I mean, hey, I'm full of snarky and opinionated commentary fit to be read as part of a daily internet binge, right?

So we just moved into a new house, which means escaping the realm of cheesily decorated, pastel plastered kiddie rooms, and getting decorate the real way. However, trying to channel your inner Design Star on a budget is a little harder than it seems. I'm really into a certain type of painting using a palette knife and a purple or blue color scheme, but the canvas prints I'm interested in come at a jaw dropping price for the ridiculously small size they're offered in. $80 for a 12 by 9? Out of budget.
